Tim Blanton

Bold.  Rich. Loose.  These words best describe Tim’s approach to his painting, as well as his life.  In his short practice of watercolor painting, Tim quickly learned two primary “rules” to a successful piece of art.  Number one, stop painting just before you think you are finished, put the brush down and step away.  And number two, give the piece the opportunity and it will paint itself.  Most of Tim’s painting time is spent on commissioned pet portraits and he says the greatest compliment he can receive is to be asked to paint a pet that has crossed over the rainbow bridge (passed away). “When the pet owner sees the painting for the first time and cries, I know I have created something special, which is worth more than gold.” Tim said.

Tim Blanton lives in Birmingham, AL with his two Dachshunds, Scout and Bishop.
